Redesign for an inclusive Waterloo London Festival of Architecture | June 2025

As part of the London Festival of Architecture 2025, I co-led and project managed a major public-facing event at Broadway Malyan’s London studio, focused on reimagining overlooked urban challenges in the Waterloo neighborhood.

The event brought together over 60 architecture and design students from universities across the UK — including The Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Manchester, Birmingham City University, Kingston University, Royal College of Art, The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), University of the Arts London, London South Bank University, and London Metropolitan University.

My responsibilities included:

  • Leading the full project lifecycle, from concept development and stakeholder coordination to delivery and wrap-up

  • Organising a community forum chaired by Dr Ana McMillin FRSA, featuring expert feedback from WSP, the London Borough of Lambeth, WeAreWaterloo BID, and Broadway Malyan colleagues.

  • Managing all event logistics, stakeholder communication, programming, and on-the-day operations

  • Designing and posting all marketing collateral across web and social media platforms to promote the event and drive engagement

  • Hosting an informal networking social to close the day and encourage industry connections

This collaborative event was a celebration of design, dialogue, and community. It reflected Broadway Malyan’s ongoing commitment to designing with people and place in mind — and it was inspiring to see such creative, place-specific responses from the next generation of designers.
